“Jake” is a classic looking two year old very dark (semi-sweet) chocolate male, weighing about 80 lbs. He is a stocky field bred Lab with a block head. His sire is SHR Southland Sarge of Larke, JH, who was sired by my beloved GMHR Southland Leroy Brown, who was sired by the 1984 National Derby Champion, FA, AFC, MHR Westwind’s Bold Tiger. His blood lines are very strong. Jake is a house pet who loves to play frisbee, fetch and hide and seek. He loves to retrieve and brings his dish when he is hungry. Jake is owned by Polly and Brad Shaffer of Leesburg, VA.

"Trick"
“Trick” is a new addition to Southland Kennels and will add greatly to my breeding program. She is an 80 lb. black female. Her sire is NFC-AFC five Star General Patton and her dam is a descendant of FC-AFC Barracuda Blue, MH. Not only is she bred very well, she is large and extremely good looking.
